INTERIOR SHUTTERS

RAISED & FLAT PANEL

Our raised panel interior shutters come in seven styles: Classic Colonial, Classic flat panel, Traditional, Shaker, Molded, Molded flat panel, and Bead board and can be ordered in almost any wood, but come standard in basswood. Basswood is a domestically grown wood, which is known for its straight and tight grain, uniformity, and resistance to shrinkage and contraction. We also pride ourselves on our customer service. We will sell custom sized panels that are hinged or unhinged and painted or unpainted. If you need a professional installation, we can provide that service for local customers.

HINGING Our products are professionally mortise hinged, not face hinged like many offerings. We had a hinging machine custom-made for hinging our products. See the "Hardware" section below for more details on our hinge

PAINTING We use the latest HVLP spray paint technology with environmentally friendly water-borne pigmented paints whenever possible. However, due to the nature of having to match paint trim colors and the need to buy in quart sizes, we usually use an oil-based paint that is easily matched to your color requirements.

Our fabric insert shutter makes it easy to change the décor in your room simply by changing the insert. They come with an easy-to-use spring-mounted stainless steel rod at the top and bottom of the opening. Click here for an image showing the front and back of our fabric shutters.

INTERIOR LOUVER SHUTTERS

TRADITIONAL AND PLANTATION LOUVERS

For those who require privacy and light simultaneously, our premium louvered shutters are constructed never to stick or break due to forcing the louvers open. They are a high quality shutter and work the way they were meant to work. They are constructed of kiln-dried basswood, like our own raised panel shutters, which ensures their stability. The louvers "stay where you leave them" and the paint will never "stick" the louvers to the stile of the shutter so that the louvers become difficult to operate. This is because the shutter utilizes a nylon pin with a small shoulder to attach the louvers to the stiles. The nylon pin does not swell in the summer humidity as wooden dowel pins do. Because the pins do not swell, they can be fit snugly which ensures that the louvers do not "rattle" or fall down after you let them go. All louvered shutters are not created equal! Our Traditional louvered shutters are available ¾" thick with 1-1/4" wide louvers or in Plantation style 1-1/16" thick with either 1-7/8", 2-1/2", 3-1/2", or 4-1/2" wide louvers and come factory finished complete with all necessary hardware. A wide variety of styles are available including: vertical as well as horizontal louver, louver shutters without control rod (but still move), arches and fan tops, overhead bifold and bypass tracks, and others. ECONOMICAL LOUVER

Our economical line of louvered shutters comes unfinished, sized to your opening, and hinged with all hardware. These shutters are priced the same as our high quality raised panel shutter with the same hardware options.
